The 1991 animated Disney feature film Beauty and the Beast, is notable for being not only the recipient of two Academy awards but also for being the only animated film ever nominated for Best Picture. Based upon a story written in the 1700's, the tale of Belle and the enchanted beast / prince is considered one of the greatest love stories of all time.
